Watching this on mi mix, cost more than pixel or edge, loses in a few places like camera, but screen clarity and size way ahead, for music with headphones second to none

loyal4 the way thats a great assumption you got there, i personally dont like the skin on chinese companies like xiaomi but i must say theyve improved a lot recently

loyal4 the way maybe so but nearly everything nowadays is made in China, from I phone, battery’s to probably the clothes, TV you have, or at least parts and components

Glad you went with the 3T over the Pixel for performance. Pixel drops apps too often.

As an owner of 2 s7 edge phones i wouldn’t be so sure about that. Sure…screen and longevity… but OP3T is hella beast in performance compared to s7e. hands down.

Reply
Pete Coventry - posted on January 21, 2017 6:36 am

I had to admit the RAW photos taken by the OP3T are truely stunning. people compare camera quality on the JPEG’s they can take. Show me a RAW image from any of the other phones – and if they are better then and only then would I be impressed

The OnePlus 3T is not a midrange smartphone. It just has a midrange price.

I’d like to add that the Pixel also has a great battery life. Only 2770mAh but consistently gives me 5 hours SOT.

Reply

Shivdev Singh 5 hours is not great

Reply
Shivdev Singh - posted on January 4, 2017 12:27 pm

+Roman Ibrahim I dont know what’s great for you but 5 hours of screen on time is more than enough for me. And thats at an average. Today I got 6.5. This is more than I ever got on my Note 4.

David Cole - posted on January 2, 2017 6:52 pm

maybe at one-time the OnePlus was the best midrange phone but not now. And neither is the Honor 8. You may have Axon 7 exhaustion but there’s a reason it is talked about so much. Quad HD AMOLED display. Better battery efficiency. Better sound. Actually the fastest Quad HD phone! Daydream capable. Expandable memory. AND a 2 year warranty at no extra charge. And the “issues” from the review, software updates optimized this work of art! Even before the updates your own side by side comparison picked the Axon 7. Get with the times, OnePlus 3t is so last year 😉.

+Ultimate Gohan just stating the facts and yes I do love it. Anyone who owns it loves it. But it’s just comical to me that I’m called a fan boy when I lay out AAAALLLLLL the reasons Axon 7 smashes the OP3T yet all you OP3T groupies just stay on that same thread. Like trying to say a Volkswagen is better than a GT-R.

Reply
Ultimate Gohan - posted on January 20, 2017 9:06 am

+David Cole yes you stated some facts but the fact that you THINK your axon 7 is better.. that’s your mere opinion, a shitty one actually. And LOL I dont even own a 3t. You don’t even have nougat yet lmao

Don’t get me wrong, I’m a long time Android fan boys but I have to admit that the best performance award should belong to the iphone 7/ 7 plus. I have checked the benchmark and the graphic performance. Apple did a good job this year with their new flagship device. Except for the headphone jack and the screen resolution though lol.

Reply
Tony True - posted on January 2, 2017 7:53 pm

Nick Le to be fair, as far as LCD displays go, the iPhone’s display isn’t all that bad. However, the resolution is definitely in need of an upgrade

Reply
FlameNGames - posted on January 3, 2017 1:41 am

Nick Le No, 3T and regular 3 is faster than the iPhone 7/7 plus. Look it up, phonebuff have inaccurate results.

Nick Le i know ! they had the best benchmark and permormance yet .. i am also a long time android fanboy .. but now i admit that iphone’s are no joke! my phone sometimes lags af

Reply
Nick Le - posted on January 8, 2017 12:01 pm

Johanes Paulus, yes especially in graphic performance. You will get much better fps when gaming on Iphone than other phones. Since I don’t gaming on mobile device, this is not a decision changer. However, it’s something to keep in mind.

InnerFire6213 - posted on January 3, 2017 12:03 am

the 3T is not a mid range at all. It’s a flagship phone that’s priced very competitively. Also the best price to performance ratio in the mid range tier is xiaomi’s redmi note 3. Snapdragon 650, 3gb ram and 4000 mah battery at around $150.

Reply

The camera, display, build quality, costumer support are not on par with those from a “real” flagship.

The best looking and best built smartphone with the best 3rd party ui is HTC 10.

But OP3T has steal my heart, I wished that it has dual speaker setup, it would be perfect to me

Reply

Melbourne Dauz Hope they implemented dual speakers in OP5!

Reply
Melbourne Dauz - posted on January 5, 2017 10:50 am

+Javed Khan why not to the op4 ;)?

Reply
Javed Khan - posted on January 5, 2017 10:55 am

Melbourne Dauz It is rumored that number 4 will be skipped as it is considered unlucky in China.

Reply
Melbourne Dauz - posted on January 5, 2017 10:58 am

Javed Khan Oh so that makes sense why their last phone was called op3t instead of 4 ( both look exactly the same either)
So this year they will jump to the OP5. I hope they put dual speakers.
