Interesting note, here in Northern Indiana, US Cellular completely pulled out of this market. I believe they came around here in 2002 or so, but they left about four years ago.

If you get the tello SIM card will it say sprint on the left hand corner or tello?

Whatever the SIM card says on it, that’s what it will say on the top left corner.

Christopher Martinez It depends on the phone actually. Some of them pull carrier name from the sim, others from the network operator.

Welcome back!! I went to Walmart and saw that Verizon prepaid has increased the $50 and $60 plans to 9GB and 12GB.

JSantana319 that’s a promotional thing you have to have a sim kit or phone from Walmart to get the deal

JSantana319 - posted on June 30, 2017 11:33 pm

Joshua Barrera It could be a sim kit or buy one of the Verizon prepaid phones too.

JSantana319 yup but you have to buy it from Walmart

Yeah, this is the first video I know from you that mentions US Cellular but you still never told a plan for them.

Paul Billeci fantastic if At&t has good coverage in your area. I recommend getting a group of 5 together before starting it to save $20/plan

Yea but Coverage maps aren’t functional at all like T-Mobile is stupidly weak when it comes to signal indoors

Reply
AJLION GAMING - posted on June 30, 2017 8:53 pm

Even in Florida where there a lot of T-Mobile users

Reply
CortMarshal - posted on July 1, 2017 6:59 am

depends on which bands they’re using. T mobile has been really good at rolling out lower frequency bands in network upgrades, which work better inside. Just make sure your phone supports them, and maybe give them a call and ask about future network upgrades in your area

AJLION GAMING this new MHz they’re getting won’t work on current phones. It’s for future phones. By the end of the year if you get the newest phones, hopefully it will have the new MHz.

hey Stetson, I used to watch your videos a lot but haven’t found a need to in a while since I feel I have the best plan. however things change, and I wanted to ask for an expert opinion. I have cricket with 5 people meaning I can get 4gigs of 8mbps data for just $20/month and unlimited text. I’m all for trying out new networks in my area, but not sure if it’s worth it. lmk what you think

+Eric Engman Hi Eric, honestly the plan you have is straight up the best plan out there. In fact, it’s the plan I have! So I wouldn’t recommend switching anytime soon.

Two thing that needs to be talked about are call quality and building coverage. I may excellent T-Mobile coverage outside of my work building, but having one bar and occasionally no service in my job that I work at 40 hours a week…is not that good.

I tried out T-Mobile a second time now. Same routine as last time- crappy call quality and low signal (or no service) while in my work building. If T-Mobile were to have better penetration into buildings, they would be a great network. I don’t have years to wait for them to roll out their new frequency to all of America by 2020 and have to get a compatible new phone that will take it when I can just go to Verizon or AT&T where they already have great building signal penetration.

Could you review the 45 dollar/month plan from boost mobile that offers unlimited data (speeds reduced at 23gb)? (runs off of sprint) Thanks!

Thanks for clarifying the data speeds on VZW. So many reviewers don’t mention that or that don’t know. Almost all MVNO’s on VZW are throttled to that speed.

I used FreedomPop and am now using MintSim. Freedompop gave me 3 gigs of free data and unlimited talk and text for a month on AT&T’s network. Speeds were great. MintSim gave me 10gigs of data and unlimited talk and text for 3 month at $60 on T-Mobile’s network. Speeds are also great so far. Both of these plans will probably change after the initial setup period. I think MintSim’s last promotion period is actually today the 25th. It’s definitely real soon.
