Modular design is the future and will become a revolution of the mobile
industry.

ARA got stopped by Google. I really doubt modular phones will come soon.
industry doesn’t want it. They want you to buy their phones every to years
or early.

No it’s not. Modularity is effective only when the cost of additional
features is high. Nowadays you can get a fully featured phone with 300$.
Cost of modularity can never beat that price.

The only innovation that we need to blow our mind is to make a damn phone
that wil last a week on a single charge…you know like the ones you made
10 years ago.

Okay, thats because car has generator, but do smartphones have generators?
exactly, no.

+Robert Cook how hard is it to just strike a match to light a stove… the
self lighting stove was invented
how hard is it to knock on a door… the door bell was invented
technology is here to make life easier even if it is already easy thats
been the point all along

not just the v10, yotaphone 2 has literally a screen on the front and back

Wow, I haven’t heard anyone mention that phone in a few years! Sadly the
2nd screen is “e-ink”, so only good for black & white static content. In
the USA, it’s only available on eBay, sold by Russian or Chinese sellers.

e-ink’s battery consumption is lesser than traditional LCD and AMOLED
because they only use energy when it refreshes. You can put an image and
not refreshing it without worrying on the battery life. -_-

TRUTH! Only recently did I sell off my Galaxy S4 & “upgrade” to a Nexus
5X… which I returned & now regret having sold the ol’ S4. The “upgrade”
phone kept crashing, like a first gen pirated mac emulator running on an
Amiga 1000 🙁 It also added random punching noises into the audio (I
uploaded at least one example to YouTube). As in the film, “Idiocracy”, I
sense that human evolution has reached a turning point… we’re now
regressing 🙁

Reply

XD i agree. it is cringy, but someone has to start the trend you know. if
we want to live in a utopia, we need to be ready for change. i bet few
generations from now, they will think, that we were stupid. that we had
this technology, but we were too primitive to use it.
how do i explain this. like few generations ago people who even talked to
black people were considered retards. a generation after that people who
were gay were considered disgusting. now we have no problem with blacks, or
gays. (well some small minded have) but wearing a phone on your arm is the
future. consept is primitive, but we have to admit, this generation can’t
live without a smartphone, and that is for generations to come. we need a
phone we could wear. the idea is pretty weird tho. how are you going to
make phonecalls with that? seems awkward. i would invest my money on a
special pocket, that opens with your fingerprint ( for safety) , and has a
wire connected to the phone, so you wont crack it, when someone bumps into
you. that sort of thing.

herman stokbrood - posted on August 26, 2016 12:53 am

Of course, i understand although your examples seem a bit strange to me and
not truly comparable. Opions about other people are often dictated by for
example religion or the law. I would rather have mentioned the wright
brothers.
