the fact that axon 7 is superior but hard to find or get and the not so good zenfone phones makes them underrated bcos the availability is questionable

gcforreal - posted on February 26, 2017 1:10 pm

Neumonic Videos here in the US you can walk into any best buy and purchase the axon 7 pretty easily and often times at a slight discount.

The OnePlus 3T is not an underrated phone though.

The Axon 7 is a neat phone with all day battery and nice when paired with the Q Marshal watch.

Typing this on my A2017U, I can easily say it’s the best phone of 2016 and all the way until Q2 2017(Aka 20th of April, aka S8) you can’t get a better phone for the price (back when it was $350), I see why it’s back on amazon due to order rates increasing since people realized how amazing it is, The Axon 7 has a camera that is NOTHING related to what these reviewers claim, ESPECIALLY when using the manual mode, me and my friends compared Axon 7 to S7 and Axon 7 was better on auto and far better on manual. It was quite shocking.

Communist twat OnePlus 3T…

Communist twat - posted on February 26, 2017 6:41 pm

Mohamed Elmi No, Not even close.
I admit that OnePlus 3t is more optimized and has better irl performance but Axon 7 has:
1.Hifi Dac/amp combo
2.Microsdcard slot
3.Double usb transfer rate speed (3.0 type c)
4. Daydream support with N update
5. Better build quality
6. better design ( that’s subjective)
Other than that the Op3 has barely any gain besides 150mAh more power and SD821 which is barely 5% more efficient. and the Op3 was like 160$ more. as I said, not even close.

Mohamed Elmi - posted on February 26, 2017 6:48 pm

Communist twat The DAC/AMP combo on the OnePlus 3T is actually quite underrated. Micro SD Slot is kind of useless when the phone comes in at 64 GB base model to 128 GB. I’ve experienced this phone go to 9 hours of screen on time so the battery is actually significantly better than the 6 hours you get on the Axon 7. As for the USB transfer rate the average person doesn’t care about that besides charging speed which the OnePlus 3T comes in best in class at that area. Don’t forget about the finger print scanner as well, it’s one of the fastest in the market. Build quality isn’t necessarily better they both have gorilla glass 4 and a unibody design. Design is subjective but the axon in my opinion looks terrible in the ion gold colorway. The silver actually does look quite amazing. The only real advantage I see from the axon is the amazing audio it produces and that’s about it. For now yes, the OnePlus does not support Daydream but at the pace daydream is going it doesn’t look like it’ll matter much, if it does get much bigger, OnePlus’s Carl Pei would just add support if people asked.

Mohamed Elmi - posted on February 26, 2017 6:51 pm

Communist twat Oh and the 160$ more is another advantage the axon has, but that’s because of its age, the regular OnePlus 3 dropped in price as well. But in that area true, the axon is probably better than the regular OnePlus.

Communist twat - posted on February 26, 2017 7:07 pm

Mohamed Elmi Mohamed Elmi As far as I am concerned about Audio I chose A2017U (Not the G model) for a reason, it has a good combo of dac to produce least noise and good amp to drive big headphones, even the glorified and the praised v10 falls short due to it’s amp and it’s weak output of less than half a volt, while A2017U has AK4490en, a minimized setup of the same found in XD-05 and hard hitters like the Ak380 the oneplus 3t and other phones come with Qualcomm’s embedded Dac.
Add 2 stereo speakers that aren’t matched by any (even high end hifi smartphones like v10 and v20 don’t have) and I think we quite agree it’s a huge advantage, That’s why I think Zte nailed audio quite better than the rest.
I just bought the phone, Dunno about the battery life part but it went 6:30 on screen and there was 30% left with super audio quality + dolby activated all time…. so…
Build quality surely goes for the Axon, the reason is the main body, while op3 was bent slightly and had screen popped on bendtests the Axon7 seemed impossible to bend and zte even showcased the frame only for a bend test and didn’t get a dent, which proves they weren’t messing around
I haven’t faced any delay with fingerprint scanner whatsoever, it always needed 1 tap, zte claimed 250 Milliseconds maximum which I guess is true irl. faster than this is better ofcourse but we are talking about less than 1/4 of a second.
If you add the dash charging just because it charges 10% faster I’d like to mention the con of op3t’s cable.
double usb transfer rate is important for people with usb 3.x otherwise you’re making little use of that ufs 2.0 storage.
all that for $160 less, which is why Imo the Axon 7 is the best all rounder of 2016.
however, It’s all about preferences, some can argue Op3t is better for the reasons we mentioned due to emphasizing on optimization and when A7 was released it had no custom ROMs while op3t had (Axon 7 has official ports and doing very well on xda now).
